I got mine used in 2017 for a very reasonable price from a friend of a friend. It came with a PU half case, single battery, charger, cable, lens hood and its original box and papers. I could remember i was excited.
I had bought the Fujifilm X100T not knowing how good it was. I had done little to none research about it. All i knew back then was i wanted to get my hands on a non point and shoot digital camera.
Prior to this point, all of the cameras i use were tiny point and shoot cameras ranging for the cheaper Canon Powershot, Olympus Camedia to the Sony's CyberShot waterproof cameras.

I was my daily camera, my companion. Like many things that i own, i tend to use them as often as possible. I brought it to all my excursions, be it a day or a month.
It performed so well that i never had a need to look for another camera.
I liked how the Fujifilm X100T was designed. As someone that came from a film photography background, i truly appreciate that the designers took all the cues from older film cameras. The dials were all solid clicks and it is where it should be. Aperture ring on the lens itself, the shutter speeds and the exposure compensation dials on the top plate.
The fixed lens to some might be a drawback, and i thought of it too. However such limitations were also something that teaches me some new ways to take a photo.
If i am too far, i had to step closer to my subject and if i am too near, i'd take a few steps back. This in a way build thought me to go beyond my comfort zone.

I am not a RAW shooter. I prefer to shoot in JPEGS. I understand that there are great benefits to shoot in RAW so that you can process the image to your liking in the post process. However, i am one not to do so. I don't quite like the idea of making edits to my photos, more so sitting in front of my computer going through 3000 files from a trip and then selecting 1000 photos to edit only to use a handful. But if you are a professional, then by all means do it as it really matters.
The colors from the Fujifilm X100T comes out beautiful. I set my X100T film simulation setting to Classic Chrome (Classic Chrome feels like Kodachrome.) and i left it there. I had no reason to change it.

After 3 years of owning the Fujifilm X100T, it was beginning to show signs that it was long in the tooth. The successor to the X100T the X100F had been out for 3 years and Fujifilm had rumoured a X100V in the coming months.
My X100T showed signs that it was ageing. Autofocus was taking a bit of time "hunting", the dials begin to feel loose., battery life was short. It wouldn't last a full day of shooting. So i decided to let it go.
I traded it for a different Fujifilm. The compact XF-10. It was new, it is compact, it has the same 28mm field of view. A better screen and battery life. On paper, perfect. In practice, i hated it. I had kept it for months without ever bringing it out. Instead i much prefer to bring my Canon Canonet QL17 Giii film camera instead.
Half a year later i traded the XF-10 for a Sony ZV1 thinking i would do some video instead, but it was too clunky and so i traded it again for a GoPro Hero 10 which i use predominantly for my Youtube channel.
I still miss having the X100T, So in 2022, i thought i would try again to find a worthy successor for the X100T, so bought a digital camera thinking i could get back into it. So i got myself a Ricoh GRiii. Let's see how this goes.
